Position Summary
- Lead programs for kids, youth, adults, families, and group activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, underwater photography and videography, botanic park tours, sustainable living lessons, arts & crafts, etc.
- Explain and promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility to ensure the safety and welfare of guests and members.
- Observe activities, respond appropriately according to local operating procedures during an emergency, and inform supervisors when guests cannot safely participate.
- Demonstrate knowledge of local and cultural heritage, prepare each activity with necessary materials, and guide groups at all times.
- Follow company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines, and move over uneven or slippery surfaces.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 75 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Environmental Sciences or equivalent field.
- At least one year of related work experience.
- No supervisory experience required.

- Lifeguard Certification
- Water Safety Certification
- CPR Certification
- Oxygen Certification
- Epi‑pen Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Food Safety Certification
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Any other certification or training required by local and state agencies.
