Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Muscat is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the Front Office team and oversee daily operations. You will act as on-duty senior, handle guest relations and service recovery, and coordinate with departments to ensure seamless luxury service.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a luxury hotel, 1–2 years in a Duty Manager or similar role, and strong Front Office and PMS experience. An emphasis on leadership, English communication, and guest satisfaction is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a luxury hotel environment.
• Minimum 1–2 years' experience as a Duty Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Front Office operations and guest service standards.
• Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS).
• Excellent leadership, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure exceptional guest experience.
• Act as senior on-duty representative, handling guest relations and coordination.
• Provide guidance, coaching and support to operational colleagues.
• Lead by example and promote Mandarin Oriental's culture and service philosophy.
• Investigate guest complaints and implement service recovery actions.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, F&B and others.
• Monitor occupancy, arrivals/departures, VIP movements and special requests.
• Support check-in/check-out, billing and cash handling procedures.
