Job summary

Alila Jabal Akhdar in Nizwá, DA, OM, is seeking a charismatic Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. You will deliver exceptional beverage service, recommend menu items, and maintain top hospitality standards on site.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of luxury hospitality bartending experience, strong knowledge of cocktails, and excellent English communication. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities for growth within our luxury property.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Bartender in luxury hotel, resort, or upscale hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and beverage service standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest service and creating memorable experiences.
• Strong sales and upselling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with hotel standards and recipes.
• Deliver a friendly, engaging, and personalized service experience to all guests.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of beverage menus, cocktail preparation, wine, spirits, and current beverage trends.
• Make recommendations to guests and confidently upsell food and beverage offerings.
• Ensure all beverages are presented and served according to established service standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the bar and surrounding areas at all times.
• Carry out opening, closing, and side duties, including stock replenishment, ice preparation, cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or operational requirements to management.
• Handle guest inquiries, preferences, and complaints professionally and ensure prompt follow-up when required.
• Record guest preferences and contribute to creating personalized guest experiences.
• Serve alcohol responsibly and comply with all legal and hotel requirements.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
• Support colleagues and work collaboratively with restaurant, kitchen, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in training programs, departmental briefings, and continuous learning initiatives.
