This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an IT Support & Infrastructure Technician based in Muscat, Oman. This position combines hands‑on hardware repair, system optimization, and physical network infrastructure maintenance. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable diagnosing PC hardware failures, optimizing operating systems, and executing the physical installation and cabling of server room equipment.
Hardware Diagnosis & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair PCs, laptops, and peripherals. Efficiently replace faulty internal components such as RAM, hard drives (SSDs/HDDs), screens, and power supplies.
System Optimization: Speed up slow computers by identifying performance bottlenecks, removing viruses/malware, and performing routine system cleanups.
OS Deployment: Manage clean operating system installations (primarily Windows), handle upgrades, system recoveries, and resolve driver conflicts.
Hardware Racking & Stacking: Physically mount, secure, and arrange servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points within network racks.
Network Cabling: Run, terminate, and test Ethernet (Cat5e/Cat6) and fiber optic cabling to ensure clean, organized, and functional network closets.
