Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years’ housekeeping/related experience.
• Two-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hotel management, business administration or related field; no experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage Housekeeping operations and budget, ensure timely room status communication to front desk, conduct daily room inspections, prepare lists for checkout or turnover, supervise inventory and ensure supplies and equipment are adequate, oversee and coordinate staff to perform effective inspections of guest rooms and public areas, communicate department goals clearly in meetings.
• Conduct human resources activities: train new attendants, foster open collaboration with staff, schedule and track attendance, ensure policy enforcement and disciplinary documentation, supervise staffing to meet guest service and financial needs, observe service behaviors and provide feedback, recognize staff and participate in awards/recognition programs, solicit feedback and act on satisfaction results.
• Ensure outstanding guest service: set examples, uphold brand service culture, implement action plans to improve guest satisfaction, empower staff to deliver exceptional service, emphasize guest satisfaction in department meetings, respond to guest issues and complaints, strive to improve service performance.

Education
