Job summary

Green Umbrella Recruitment invites applications for a Commis I in Muscat, Oman. The role involves preparing and cooking hot dishes, maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety under the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.

You will support mise en place, oversee stations, and ensure timely food production in line with recipes. The ideal candidate holds a culinary diploma or certificate, has 1–2 years in a hot kitchen of a luxury hotel or fine dining setting, and is fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field.
• 1–2 years experience in hot kitchen of a 4- or 5-star hotel or fine dining restaurant.
• Ability to communicate in English; English is a must.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• GCC experience is mandatory.
• Available immediately and in Oman with visa transfer if applicable.

• Prepare and cook hot food items while maintaining quality, hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist with mise en place and station setup.
• Support daily kitchen operations and ensure timely food production.
