Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, or Civil).
• Technical Institute Diploma in Mathematics, Surveying, and CAD (Auto-Cad or Micro Station).
• Mandatory software training: Auto-Cad, Micro Station, Windows OS, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and English typing.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a relevant engineering or surveying field.
• Must perform complex geometric and volumetric calculations using Auto-Cad, Micro Station, calculators, and PCs.
• Read/write English with a broad knowledge of engineering terminology.
• Must possess SAG driver’s license or be able to secure; GIS experience preferred.

Job Summary / Objective

The Assistant Engineer provides essential computational, surveying, and computer-aided design (CAD) support to active rig projects. This position processes field data, calculates earth/fluid volumes, and produces engineering layouts to ensure structural drilling layouts remain accurate.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute CAD Layouts:Draft, update, and manage technical engineering drawings utilizing professional Auto-Cad or Micro Station platforms.
• Process Survey Data:Perform geometric, volumetric, and spatial computations on field survey data using personal computers and programmable calculators.
• Compile Technical Logs:Organize, track, and input project details utilizing standard Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Manage Field Transport:Safely operate motor vehicles across assigned operational zones to execute field data collection tasks.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Education & Core Training (Choose Path A or B):
  • Path A:Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, or Civil).
  • Path B:Technical Institute Diploma in Mathematics, Surveying, and CAD (Auto-Cad or Micro Station).
  • Mandatory Software Training:Must have completed formal courses in the latest Auto-Cad and Micro Station software, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and English Typing.
• Experience:Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a relevant engineering or surveying field.
• Technical Capabilities:Capable of performing complex geometric and volumetric calculations using Auto-Cad, Micro Station, programmable calculators, and personal computers. Must be able to perform computation of field survey data.
• Language & Skills:Fully able to read and write English with a broad knowledge of engineering terminology.
• Mobility:Possess, or be able to secure, a valid Saudi Arab Government (SAG) driver’s license. Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is preferred.
