Job Summary / Objective
The Petroleum Engineer operates as an elite technical subject matter expert providing advanced engineering design, analytical support, and operational studies for complex vertical, horizontal, and deep high-pressure gas wells. This position requires deep engineering knowledge and recognized industry leadership.

Core Responsibilities

• Formulate Engineering Designs:Author and optimize engineering designs across all critical phases of Drilling & Workover, explicitly managing drill string design, casing design, drilling fluids, cementing, fishing, wellheads, testing, and completions.
• Conduct In-Depth Technical Studies:Utilize powerful analytical capabilities and advanced computer skills to perform comprehensive engineering studies that optimize drilling results and minimize mechanical risk.
• Drive Technical Collaboration:Communicate intricate engineering concepts with total clarity to supervisors, colleagues, shareholder representatives, and government officials to achieve definitive field results.
• Engage Professional Societies:Maintain active presence in elite industry circles, participating in technical committees, authoring professional publications, and accepting leadership or lecturing honors.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Education:Must possess a BS in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience:A minimum of five (5) years of direct experience in drilling engineering and operations.
• Technical Engineering Scope:Proven expertise across all phases of Drilling & Workover engineering, including drill string design, casing design, drilling fluids, cementing, fishing, wellheads, testing, and completion of vertical/horizontal oil and high-pressure deep gas wells.
• Analytical Skills:Must possess strong analytical and computer skills, with a proven ability to perform in-depth technical studies related to Drilling and Workover operations.
• Industry Prominence & Recognition:Typically active in related professional societies, achieving recognition through publications, committee activities, chairmanships, or appointment as a "distinguished lecturer".
• Professional Credibility:Must be clearly recognized by supervisors, colleagues, and PE&D as thoroughly qualified and a verified expert in the field. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate ideas clearly, work effectively with others, and command the complete confidence of Aramco Management.
• External Relations:Highly capable of managing relationships and technical communication due to prior industry standing with Shareholder representatives, SAG personnel and other outside contacts
