Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.

We are seeking an experienced (minimum 12 months post graduate experience) Dental/Oral Health Therapist with a current Dental Council NZ registration for a fixed term part-time position to cover parental leave to 27 February 2026. Hours to be worked are 32 hours per week.

About The Team/Service

Situated in the sunny eastern coast of New Zealand’s North Island, the Bay of Plenty really is just that, offering vast golden sand beaches, bush clad mountains, lush farmlands and more. Its pleasant climate means that the area has become a favourite for holiday makers, retirees and those looking for a different lifestyle outside of the main cities.

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne. We serve a population of approximately 308,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi is one of the Bay of Plenty’s largest employers with over 4500 staff.
