Job summary

Mahurangi College invites applications for a Learning Support Coordinator in the Te Korowai Aroha team. You will oversee the learning needs of Year 7 and 8 students and work with two other coordinators to support achievement, wellbeing and inclusion.

Role involves adapting timetables, running literacy and numeracy boosters, and collaborating with assistants, teachers, syndicate leaders and senior leadership. Term 1, 2027 start, base salary set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Year 7 and 8 curriculum levels.
• Deep knowledge of learning differences and adaptable timetabling.
• Experience running literacy and numeracy booster groups.
• Experience with outside learning support agencies and MoE Learning Support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee learning needs of Year 7 and 8 students within Te Korowai Aroha.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, teachers, syndicate leaders and senior leaders.
• Coordinate timetables and run booster groups to raise achievement.
• Engage with external learning support agencies and MoE Learning Support.
