You will drive continuous improvement, conduct audits and root cause analyses, and mentor our workshop team through coaching and training coordination.

Qualifications

  • 5 years' relevant technical experience, with 2+ years’ similar QA experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Experience documenting findings, procedures, and reports.
  • Ability to liaise with key stakeholders and demonstrate complex equipment to those with little or limited experience/knowledge.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and support others.
  • A clean, current driver's licence.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and technically skilled Workshop Technician (QA Specialist) to join our workshop team. This full-time role is based at our Airport Oaks, Auckland site and operates Monday to Friday.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work while also taking ownership of quality standards, continuous improvement, and mentoring others. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is refurbished to the highest standards, helping clients receive safe, reliable, and life-changing equipment.

About the Role

As our Workshop Technician (QA Specialist), you will refurbish complex disability and rehabilitation equipment, diagnose faults, provide technical support, and ensure all work meets quality, safety, and contract standards. You will drive continuous improvement through quality assurance activities, audits, root cause investigations, and process enhancements while contributing to operational performance targets. You will also provide technical leadership in the team by supporting technician development through coaching, competency assessments, training coordination, and expert guidance on product support, repairs, equipment configuration, and spare parts management. As part of this role, your will aim to deliver high-quality outcomes, exceptional customer service, and continuous capability improvement across the wider service team.

Highly Desirable

  • Strong understanding of quality assurance systems and compliance requirements.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, and root cause analysis investigations.
  • EWRB EAS Certification.
  • Level 2 DMERT Certification.
