Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Christchurch is seeking a maintenance technician to perform reactive maintenance and small projects, and to assist with Planned Preventative Maintenance. You will be part of a diverse trades team based at Paragon Place, serving major NZ clients including banks, government agencies and universities.

The role requires HVAC trade qualifications, strong health and safety commitment, and excellent English. Training and a supportive benefits program are provided.

Qualifications

• HVAC trade qualification and registration are required.
• Experience in commercial maintenance is desirable.
• Knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety is essential.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability or willingness to learn to use a tablet/iPad for job dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance and minor project work, with participation in Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Work from our Christchurch office in Paragon Place.
• Support clients across banks, government agencies, universities and other NZ businesses.

Your role will consist of a combination of reactive maintenance and minor project work, but also assisting with Planned Preventative Maintenance works. The successful applicant will be part of a diverse trades working out of our Christchurch office in Paragon Place. Our clients include major banks, Government agencies, universities, prisons and a combination of other leading NZ businesses and commercial premises.

About You:

• HVAC trade qualified and registered.
• Commercial maintenance experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability or willingness to learn to use a tablet/iPad (for job dispatch).

Health & Safety is a priority for Cushman & Wakefield and the successful candidate will be expected to have a good understanding of the H&S requirements and behaviours in commercial environment. Good personal presentation and customer service skills are also essential, as is a clean full driver's license.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a drug test, complete a Pre-employment Health Questionnaire and MOJ check. A criminal conviction review is also a requirement of the role.
