Job summary

MAS seeks a Workplace Technology Lead to join the Innovation & Digital team, based in Auckland or Wellington. This permanent role owns the Workplace Technology service domain, leading engineers to enhance employee experience, security, productivity and efficiency.

The role drives the roadmap, enables automation and AI adoption, ensures secure and reliable services, and collaborates with vendors to maximise MAS value for its Members.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams.
• Experience owning or contributing to technology service roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of workplace technology services (endpoint management, authentication, access, productivity & collaboration).
• Experience managing operational services and service performance.
• Track record delivering technology improvements and change initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Passion for continuous improvement, automation and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Workplace Technology Engineers.
• Own and deliver the Workplace Technology roadmap and service outcomes.
• Drive continual improvement across the digital workplace experience.
• Provide technical leadership and design guidance for complex problems.
• Lead adoption of automation, AI and self-service capabilities.
• Ensure services are secure, reliable and aligned with standards.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and service partners to maximise value.

We're looking for a Workplace Technology Lead to join our Innovation & Digital team and help shape the future of the digital workplace at MAS. This is a permanent position based in either our Auckland or Wellington Offices.

At MAS, technology plays a key role in enabling our people to deliver exceptional experiences for our Members. In this leadership role, you'll own the Workplace Technology Service Domain, leading a team of talented engineers while driving improvements that enhance employee experience, security, productivity and operational efficiency.

What you'll be doing

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of Workplace Technology Engineers.

We're looking for an experienced technology leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands‑on technical leadership.

You'll ideally have:
