Engage Recruitment Support – Taupo, North Island
We’re working with a Taupō-based organisation looking for an experienced Digital Platforms & Security Lead who can combine strong technical judgement with people leadership and big-picture thinking.
This is a hands‑on leadership role spanning technology platforms, operational cybersecurity, resilience, technical risk and key supplier relationships. You’ll lead specialist capability across platforms, workplace technology and cybersecurity, setting priorities, developing your people and providing technical direction and escalation support.
A key part of the opportunity is translating broader digital strategy into a practical longer‑term technical roadmap. You’ll help drive the phased transition toward greater use of cloud, SaaS and Zero Trust technologies, while reducing reliance on legacy on‑premises infrastructure.
Alongside this change, the fundamentals still matter. You’ll help ensure the technology environment remains secure, reliable and resilient, with strong operational security controls, incident response and disaster recovery capability aligned with wider business continuity requirements.
You’ll also work across the organisation, building relationships with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and helping connect business needs with technology priorities, risk and improvement opportunities.
The role balances day‑to‑day operational responsibility with ongoing modernisation and improvement, keeping critical technology running while continuing to look at how platforms, processes and ways of working can evolve.
