Job summary

Medical Assurance Society NZ in Wellington is seeking an Insights Analyst to turn data into actionable insights that guide decision-making and improve member outcomes.

You'll analyse data, develop dashboards and reports using Power BI, and work with stakeholders across the business to translate questions into clear analytics. Strong SQL skills and experience with complex datasets are required; knowledge of Python or R is advantageous.

• Strong Power BI and SQL capability.
• Experience working with complex datasets.
• Knowledge of Python or R (advantageous).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience developing dashboards, reporting and business insights.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

We're growing our Data & Analytics capability and are currently recruiting for one 12-Month Fixed Term Insights Analyst Position.

This role will be based in our Wellington Office. This position sits within our Innovation & Digital team and offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the business to transform data into meaningful insights that support better decision-making and improved Member outcomes.

About the role

As an Insights Analyst, you'll analyse data, identify trends and opportunities, develop reporting and visualisation solutions, and help business leaders make informed decisions through clear, actionable insights. You'll work across a wide range of business areas, building strong stakeholder relationships and helping grow confidence in data throughout the organisation.

What you'll be doing
