In Vino NZ Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Wine Sales Person to join our team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the dynamic wine industry, promoting and selling premium wine products to customers in the Napier Central Hawkes Bay region. You will be responsible for driving sales, building strong customer relationships, and representing our brand with professionalism and passion. Key responsibilities

• Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within the Napier Central Hawkes Bay region to expand our customer base


• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their wine preferences and requirements


• Presenting and demonstrating wine products to customers, highlighting quality, origin, and unique characteristics


• Achieving agreed sales targets and KPIs through effective sales techniques and strategic account management


• Providing expert product knowledge and recommendations to customers to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business


• Managing customer inquiries and complaints professionally, resolving issues to maintain brand reputation


• Documenting sales activities, customer interactions, and maintaining accurate records for reporting purposes


• Attending wine tastings, industry events, and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and engage with potential customers


• Collaborating with the sales team and other departments to ensure seamless order processing and delivery

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in sales, preferably within the wine, beverage, or hospitality industry


• Strong understanding of wine products, regions, varietals, and production methods, or willingness to develop this knowledge


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse clientele


• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive environment


• Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong organisational and time-management skills


• Ability to work independently and take initiative whilst contributing positively to a team environment


• Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transport for regional travel


• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools is advantageous


• Knowledge of the Hawkes Bay wine region and local market dynamics would be beneficial
