Job summary

WineWorks Marlborough Limited is seeking a hands-on forklift operator for our Marlborough warehouse. You will support the storage, handling and dispatch of wine as part of a friendly, hardworking team. The role operates on a two-week rotating roster with day-to-day duties including stock receival, putaway and order picking.

Shifts run 5.00pm – 5.00am. Experience with forklifts and a strong safety mindset are essential, with opportunities for development within our warehousing and NZQA

• Forklift operation experience and a valid licence are preferred.
• Solid understanding of health and safety practices in warehousing.
• Able to communicate clearly and work well in a team.

Job description

This is a hands-on, forklift-focused rolethat plays a critical part in keeping New Zealand wine moving. You'll workacross a variety of warehousing and distribution activities, supporting theefficient storage, handling, and dispatch of wine while being part of afriendly, hardworking team that enjoys working together and getting the jobdone right.

About therole

• You will work atwo-week rotating roster cycle, with shifts scheduled between Monday andFriday. One week you will be rostered to work Monday to Thursday, and thefollowing week you will be rostered Tuesday to Friday, with this patterncontinuing on a rotating basis.
• Shifts are from5.00pm – 5.00am
• Responsibilities include stock receival, putaway, high-reach operation, truck loading and order picking, servicingproduction needs and other general warehousing tasks.
• This is a crucial position that requires strongattention to detail, a commitment to health and safety, and most importantly,the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Wage rate starting between$28.00 - $29.50 per hour (negotiable depending on experience). You will alsoreceive an additional $4.00 per hour night shift allowance on top of your basehourly rate

ExperienceRequired:

• Experienced forklift operator, current forklift licence would be an advantage(OSH + F)
• A good understanding of workplace health and safety
