Job summary

Healthcarenz Limited in Masterton is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help people with disabilities live full, independent lives at home and in the community. You will assist with daily activities and accompany clients to routines they enjoy, from swimming and sports to arts and shopping.

This part-time role starts at 15 hours per week with scope to increase. We value empathy, clear communication, and teamwork, and provide training toward NZQA Health & Wellbeing, and a supportive work

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential, including experience working with youth.
• Understanding of Intellectual Disability and Autism is preferred.
• Ability to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling lives.
• Assist with activities such as swimming, events, arts and crafts, movies or shopping.

You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives to achieve their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping - the list is endless!

This is a part time role starting at 15 hours of work per week with the opportunity to increase these hours over time.
