Job summary

Joyn is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer for its world-class NZ manufacturing plant. You will own and maintain the site refrigeration systems, handling day-to-day maintenance, fault-finding, and major upgrades. The role is hands-on and requires Ammonia experience and NZ-based presence to support ongoing plant improvements.

You will join a team dedicated to reliability, efficiency, and performance, with clear career progression in a busy industrial environment and competitive salary.

Qualifications

• NZQA Level 4 Refrigeration qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong industrial refrigeration experience - ammonia experience is essential.
• Solid fault-finding skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Someone already based in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Look after industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia and freon plant equipment.
• Fault finding, troubleshooting, and carrying out repairs.
• Preventative maintenance to keep the plant running at its best.
• Work with engineering team on plant upgrades and capital projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and performance.
• Contribute to ongoing development of the site's refrigeration plant.

We're working with a well-established NZ success story that's continuing to invest heavily in its people, plant, and future growth. They're looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their engineering team and take ownership of the site's refrigeration systems.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in everything from day-to-day maintenance and fault-finding, through to major plant upgrades and improvement projects.
What you'll be doing

• Looking after industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia and freon plant equipment
• Fault finding, troubleshooting, and carrying out repairs
• Preventative maintenance to keep the plant running at its best
• Working alongside the wider engineering team on plant upgrades and capital projects
• Helping identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and performance
• Playing a key role in the ongoing development of the site's refrigeration plant
