Job summary

AWF Group in Devonport (NZ) seeks experienced Welder Fabricators for marine refurbishment projects in NZ's largest dry dock. You will weld copper nickel and other pipework using TIG in the demanding 6G position and fabricate pipe spools from drawings.

Qualifications

• Strong background in pipe welding and fabrication.
• Ability to pass a weld test (standard weld tests).
• Full TIG in 6G position.
• TIG root + arc filler/cap in 6G.
• Confined Space & Fire Safety certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• High attention to detail and consistent workmanship.
• Reliability, teamwork and good communication.

Experienced Welder Fabricators wanted for marine engineering projects based in Devonport's large dry dock facility. You'll be joining a skilled team working on high spec pipework and fabrication projects across a variety of marine vessels in a structured, safety focused environment.

Copper Nickel Tig welding experience is a must and you will be required to do a weld test.

What You'll Be Doing

• TIG pipe welding in a marine engineering environment
• Welding Copper Nickel, stainless steel, and carbon steel pipework in the 6G position
• Fabricating and installing pipe spools and related components
