Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an experienced Heavy Fabricator and Welder to join a busy Whanganui engineering team. This full-time role runs through Christmas with potential extension, offering consistent workload and a competitive hourly rate.

You will fabricate structural steel and pipe components, weld carbon and stainless steel, read technical drawings, and work both independently and as part of a skilled crew in a well-equipped workshop. Applicants must have NZ work rights.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Heavy Fabricator and Welder.
• Strong background in pipe fabrication and pipe welding.
• Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
• Excellent fabrication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of workshop safety and quality standards.

Are you an experienced Heavy Fabricator and Pipe Welder looking to get stuck straight into a new project ? We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join a busy and well-established engineering team in Whanganui, supporting a strong pipeline of industrial and fabrication projects.

This role offers immediate work through to Christmas, with the opportunity for an extension depending on upcoming contracts and project commitments.

The Role

This position will see you working across a range of fabrication and welding projects, producing high-quality work to specification and industry standards.
