Job summary

NZ Safety Blackwoods in Rotorua is seeking a Trade Sales Assistant for Saturdays 9:00am–12:00pm (3 hours). The role blends customer service, stock management and store operations in a busy trade environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role within retail, sales and/or trade.
• Sales-driven with a desire to exceed targets and deliver results.
• Friendly and outgoing with excellent communication skills and a strong team focus.
• Able to quickly build and maintain lasting customer relationships.
• A problem-solver who can turn challenging situations into positive outcomes.
• Passionate about customer service with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Physically capable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident using computer systems, including POS systems and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of call for customers walking through the door.
• Interact with customers, identifying needs and presenting solutions across our range.
• Deliver customer service that drives sales and builds loyalty.
• Provide world-class customer service, keeping customers as the priority.
• Upsell at every opportunity.
• Assist with maintaining store presentation, merchandising and product selection.
• Maintain stock levels on shelves and ensure stock rotation.
• Handle, pack and dispatch inward and outward goods.
• Assist with maintaining accurate inventory within the store.
