Job summary

NZ Safety Blackwoods in Manukau is seeking a part-time Trade Sales Assistant for our Manukau Trade Centre. This role is Saturdays 8:30am–2:30pm (5.5 hours) with potential extra hours across South and East Auckland Centres when required.

You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, help them find the right products, and deliver excellent service in a busy trade environment. The ideal candidate has proven retail or trade sales experience, strong communication, a friendly, proactive

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role in retail, sales or trade.
• Sales-driven with a desire to exceed targets and deliver results.
• Friendly and outgoing with excellent communication and teamwork.
• Able to quickly build and maintain lasting customer relationships.
• Problem-solver who turns challenges into positives.
• Passionate about customer service with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Physically capable in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident using POS systems and basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of call for customers entering the store.
• Interact with customers, identify needs and present solutions.
• Deliver service that drives sales and loyalty.
• Provide world-class customer service, placing customers first.
• Upsell at every opportunity.
• Maintain store presentation, merchandising and product selection.
• Monitor stock levels and rotate stock appropriately.
• Handle, pack and dispatch goods and maintain inventory accuracy.
