Job summary

NZ Safety Blackwoods is seeking a Trade Sales Assistant for our East Tamaki Trade Centre. The role is Saturday-only, 8:30am–2:30pm (5.5 hours) with storeman tasks, computer work and some manual handling.

You will greet customers, identify needs, present solutions across our product range and deliver friendly, high-quality service to drive sales and loyalty. Strong teamwork and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar retail/sales/trade role.
• Sales-driven with a track record of exceeding targets.
• Strong communication, friendly, team player.
• Computer skills including POS and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of call for customers entering the store.
• Identify customer needs and present solutions across our range.
• Provide world-class customer service to grow sales and loyalty.
• Maintain store presentation and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain stock levels and stock rotation.
• Handle, pack and dispatch goods.
• Assist with accurate inventory in the store.

It's an exciting time to join NZ Safety Blackwoods! We are looking for a Trade Sales Assistant to join our tight-knit team at our Trade Centre in East Tamaki.

This is a Saturday-only role working 5.5 paid hours each Saturday, from 8:30am to 2:30pm.

This isn't your standard sales role! Its varied and fun! Other aspects of the role include storeman work, computer work and some manual handling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of call for customers walking through the door
• Interact with customers, identifying their needs and presenting solutions across our wide range of products and services
• Customer service that grows sales and loyalty
• Provide world class customer service - Ensuring customers are always the number one priority
• Ability to assist, maintain and improve store presentation and visual merchandising standards
• Maintain stock levels on shelves ensuring appropriate stock rotation
• Handling, packing and dispatching inwards and outwards goods
• Assist with maintaining accurate inventory within the store

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Will have proven experience in a similar role within the retail, sales and/or trade sector
• Sales driven with a desire to exceed targets and be rewarded for high performance
• A friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills,enthusiasm and a team player
• Be able to quickly build long lasting relationships
• A problem solver who is able to turn challenging situations into a win/win
• Will have a passion for customer service coupled with a 'can do attitude'
• Have computer skills to process point of sales counter sales, use of outlook for emails etc
