Job summary

Team Global Express, Auckland, is seeking a Warehouse Operator (Pick Packer) at our Otahuhu branch to join a high performing team.

You will be responsible for safe handling, scanning freight with barcode/RF devices, and maintaining accurate documentation to help on-time delivery goals. A strong work ethic and customer focus are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in pick packing in a warehouse environment (3+ years preferred).
• Forklift experience is advantageous and may be required.
• Strong health and safety focus with attention to detail.
• Experience using barcode/RF scanners within a WMS system.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely.
• Achieve branch objectives by scanning freight efficiently with On-time system.
• Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete and accurate.
• Prioritise health and safety and ensure all MHE is operated safely.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment.

Looking for a role where you get variety in your day and be part of a high performing team? We’re on the hunt for a Warehouse Operator (Pick Packer) to join our Otahuhu branch!

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Shift: Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm

About the role - Mō te tūranga

You will be responsible in ensuring the timely, efficient and safe handling of freight for the company to achieve their target delivery goals, on time and damage free. The right candidate will be a friendly, energetic, and positive team player with a customer focussed attitude and a reliable work ethic.

Additional key duties below:

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently
• Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete
• Prioritise health and safety and ensure all MHE is operated in a safe and proficient manner
• Communicate effectively within a team environment

What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga?

To be successful in this role, you will be a team player familiar with pick packing in a warehouse environment and ideally have prior forklift experience.

Additionally, you will need:

• Prior work experience in the freight/logistics industry
• A strong health and safety focus
• Experience with barcode/RF Scanners in a WMS environment
• Continuous improvement ideas around inward and outward goods movements
• A strong work ethic and a “can do” attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• To be physically fit as some heavy lifting will be required (up to 20kgs)
