Job summary

Maman is one of Auckland's leading boutiques, home to international designers and a curated edit of fashion, accessories and lifestyle products. We are seeking a highly organized stock controller for a part-time role to manage incoming stock, ensure accurate checking against PO, and keep the storeroom tidy to support the retail team.

Reporting to the Retail Operations & Buying Administration Manager, you will work closely with the Online Customer Experience Coordinator to keep stock flowing

Qualifications

• A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
• A fast learner who is diligent and has a strong work ethic.
• Reliable and able to work independently, preference if have worked with Shopify (our POS and Stock System).
• Physically capable of stock handling (lifting, packing, standing).
• Passionate about fashion and the Maman brand.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check in stock from our suppliers against purchase orders.
• Barcode and prepare new stock ready for sale.
• Carry out quality control checks on incoming stock, identifying faults and managing damaged/faulty returns.
• Support store replenishment, ensuring stock is available and easy to locate.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient storeroom environment.
• Organise and manage packaging requirements and stock levels.
• Run regular stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Coordinate stock transfers between store and warehouse.
• Assist with logistics, including freight forwarding and incoming goods coordination.
• Support the wider team across day-to-day retail and operational tasks as required.

We're looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented person to manage incoming stock and keep our storeroom running like clockwork. The role at its core is to ensure stock from our suppliers is received, checked and prepared for sale, while keeping our storeroom tidy and organised, all while supporting the wider retail team. Reporting to the Retail Operations & Buying Administration Manager, you'll work side by side with our Online Customer Experience Coordinator, and closely with the retail team, to keep stock flowing smoothly.
