Job summary

Gordon Harris in West Auckland is seeking an experienced Store person to support daily warehouse operations, handling inwards and outward goods. This full-time role includes a free carpark and Monday–Friday schedule, with an emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Ideally, candidates will have an interest in art and related materials, plus forklift/MPI familiarity; training is provided and we support growth within the business.

Based in West Auckland, we are seeking an experienced Store person to assist with our daily warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be an integral part our busy warehouse team, covering all the usual tasks of inwards and outwards goods.

This role is full-time Monday to Friday with a free carpark supplied.

Gordon Harris is NZ’s leading supplier of art materials, a place to find everything to inspire and support creativity. Although not essential, ideally you will have an interest in art and art related materials and perhaps be a keen user of our products.

This role works with thousands of small products as well as bulk goods. Any or all the following certifications would be an advantage but not a requirement to start with: Fork hoist licence, dangerous goods certification and/or MPI accreditation for devanning containers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Accurate picking, packing and dispatch of customer orders
• Receiving inwards goods, checking correct product and quantity received. Putting away stock
• Deliveries as scheduled using the company van
• Assisting with relocation of stock, moving bulk stock to picking stock
• Devanning containers under the MPI procedure guidancetle
• Stock counts
• Packing and labelling stock or special orders as required.
• Following all Health and Safety guidelines, MPI procedures and equipment safety rules.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties including tidy and clean duties

This role will require you to be on your feet for a good part of the day and be able to lift medium weight boxes.

Skills Required:

Previous experience in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years.

Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to the tasks. We have many small products and ranges.

• Forklift operation, MPI accredited certification is a plus.

Drivers licence (restricted or full) is required.

A willingness to learn new skills if not already qualified.

Reliable work attendance and timekeeping.

Ability to work and think independently with or without supervision in a proactive manner.

Hardworking with a positive work ethic, sense of humour and a desire to do the best for the team.
