Job summary

Backdoor is hiring a Fixed-term Part-time Warehouse Assistant for our Head Office in Hamilton. You will support stock processing, scanning, and delivery duties across 25 stores nationwide, gaining early access to the latest stock.

You should be physically capable, meticulous, and comfortable with manual driving and MS Office. A collaborative team player attitude is essential, with shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, and an additional weekday.

Qualifications

• Clean, full NZ driver's licence
• Ability to drive a manual vehicle
• Experience driving vans or large vehicles (preferred)
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, physically active role (lifting up to 20kg)
• Sharp eye for detail and accuracy
• Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Flexible, can-do attitude and willing to get stuck in
• Great communication skills and a team-first mindset

Responsibilities

• Stock Processing: Sticker, sort and split stock out to all stores
• Scan and transfer stock accurately using our systems
• Process incoming and outbound deliveries
• Warehouse Operations: Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised workspace
• Sort and organise consignments
• Deliver stock to our stores when required

Fixed-Term Part-Time Warehouse Assistant - Backdoor Head Office, Hamilton

We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic Warehouse Assistant to join our Head Office and Warehouse team on a fixed-term, part-time basis from mid-late September 2026 until the 31st of December 2026.

In this role, you'll help process and distribute surf and skate hardware, apparel, and accessories to our 25 stores around New Zealand, meaning you get to see all the new stock before it even hits the shop floor!

About the Role

Working closely with our Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you'll play a key part in keeping stock moving efficiently from our warehouse out to stores nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Processing

Availability Required

• Mondays: 8:30am-5:00pm
• Tuesdays: 8:30am-5:00pm
• One additional weekday shift (day can be flexible depending on your schedule).

Start date: Mid-Late September 2026

Contract: Fixed-term part-time until 31st December 2026
