OceanaGold offers a paid internship at the Waihi operation for students pursuing a BSc in Geology or Earth Sciences. You will join the Resource Development - Exploration & Geology team and work on-site from mid-November to mid-February.
Hours are 7:00am to 4:30pm on a 9-day fortnight (40.5 hours per week). You will gain practical geology and mining experience, assist with core logging, sampling, data management, and present your learnings to the Site Management Team at the internship conclusion.

This paid internship opportunity will run approximately from mid-November through to mid-February (dependent on exam timetable of the successful applicant) working with our talented Resource Development - Exploration & Geology team on-site at Waihi. The hours of work are 7:00am to 4:30pm, working a 9-day fortnight roster (5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off) 40.5hrs per week. Take a long weekend every second week to explore the stunning Coromandel!
