Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator at Waihi to manage reporting on community and stakeholder engagement, and support external communications. You will format newsletters, fact sheets, presentations and social media content while ensuring content aligns with the Corporate StyleGuide.

The role supports social performance reporting, maintains stakeholder databases, and helps monitor engagement plans to reflect regulator expectations and community feedback.

Qualifications

• MS Office suite proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Analytical and detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent relationship building skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Experience working in project teams with multiple stakeholder groups.
• Full and current Driver Licence.
• Experience using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop to produce high-quality visual and print materials.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social sciences, communications, or graphic design (preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support recurring meetings and reporting requirements, including preparing materials for weekly team meetings and compiling monthly reports.
• Assist in social impact management reporting to regulators by gathering and collating internal data.
• Help implement and review EA&SP Management System for Waihi Operation.
• Maintain and update Waihi’s INX stakeholder engagement database and track interactions.
• Use TeamBinder and SharePoint to manage document control and distribution of controlled documents.
• Monitor stakeholder engagement plans to ensure they remain current and responsive to feedback.
• Assist with creating and formatting public-facing materials such as newsletters, fact sheets, presentations and social media content.
• Support content creation for maps, interpretation panels and signage, ensuring alignment with Corporate StyleGuide.
