Job summary

OceanaGold's Waihi Operation in New Zealand seeks an entry-level Mine Survey Assistant to grow a mining career with an international company. No prior survey experience is required; on-the-job training is provided with opportunities for further learning.

You will support the Mine Survey Department, help maintain equipment, and ensure accurate records while complying with site safety rules. Attractive relocation/roster benefits apply.

Qualifications

• No formal qualification required.
• Full and Current Driver Licence, able to drive manual vehicles.
• Good level of physical fitness and practical motivation.
• Any existing knowledge of surveying will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mine Survey Department with day-to-day survey tasks.
• Care and maintenance of vehicle and stored equipment used in duties.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the survey equipment.
• Monitor stocks of day-to-day survey consumables.
• Comply with site safe work practices and instructions.
• Ensure all records and datasets are maintained and updated.

Job Description

Are you interested in learning about underground mine surveying? Are you keen to grow a mining career with an international company with assets across 3 continents?This is an entry level position that does not require and previous survey experience. On the job training will be provided as part of the role with opportunities for additional learning.
