The Role

We are currently seeking a full-time Village Coordinator to join our dynamic team at The Bellevue in Christchurch. As the go-to person for our residents you will play a vital role in supporting the Village Manager and coordinating various events. This position offers a diverse and exciting work environment, where no two days are the same. Your kind, caring, and helpful nature will bring smiles to our residents' faces on a daily basis.

What you’ll be doing
  • Act as the primary point of contact for residents providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing their needs.
  • Collaborate with the Village Manager to coordinate tasks effectively and ensure their successful execution.
  • Engage with residents daily, offering assistance and ensuring their well-being.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of village products, services, policies, and emergency procedures, effectively communicating this information to residents and stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and delivery of a personalized activities and lifestyle program, fostering resident engagement and enjoyment.
  • Promote resident participation in the use of technology, such as the resident app and virtual events, through support and workshops.
  • Foster a sense of community by organizing group excursions, facilitating focus groups for resident input, and building positive relationships with residents, external providers, and community groups.
What you’ll bring
  • Previous experience in a similar role, demonstrating a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent abilities in organization and administration, ensuring efficient management of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills to establish prompt, courteous, and professional rapport with residents and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to treating all residents with utmost respect, dignity, and empathy.
  • Proficiency in effective problem-solving techniques and the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated hands-on, proactive mindset, approaching tasks with enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft suite.
  • Strong empathy and patience when dealing with elderly residents, coupled with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.
