UAV Services Specialist: Repairs, Diagnostics & Customer Support

At Ferntech, you will be the go-to expert who keeps New Zealand's drone industry flying. Whether rebuilding heavy-duty agricultural sprayers or running advanced safety diagnostics on cutting-edge enterprise and consumer drones, you will get customers back in the sky safely and quickly. When a drone is grounded, a farmer loses daylight, a film crew stops rolling, or an enterprise project stalls. Your mission is to save their day. We are looking for an energetic, mechanically gifted problem-solver who loves the tech just as much as they love delivering a mind-blowing customer experience.

The Mission (Your Day-to-Day)

Heavy-Duty Ag Repairs: Get your hands dirty! You will troubleshoot, tear down, and fully repair massive agricultural drone platforms to get them back out to the farm.

Elite Diagnostics (Consumer & Enterprise): Act as our technical detective. You will run advanced diagnostics, verify flight safety, and triage complex software/hardware issues on consumer and enterprise craft.

Champion the Customer: Own the entire service journey. You’ll translate complex tech jargon into plain English and proactively call customers with updates before they even think to ask.

Certify for the Sky: Perform deep-dive inspections, factory-level sensor calibrations, and CAA Part 102 airworthiness sign-offs. When it leaves your bench, it is safe, compliant, and perfect.

Crush the Queue & Capture Data: Thrive in a fast-paced workshop. You'll build watertight warranty claims with solid evidence and keep the repair pipeline moving at high speed.

Elevate the Squad: Bring the energy! Share your diagnostic tricks, mentor new teammates, and collaborate with the sales crew to build a bulletproof workshop culture.
