Job summary

Cromwell General Tyres is seeking a hands-on Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily workshop activity in Cromwell. You will lead technicians, manage stock, ensure safety, and maintain service standards for tyres, wheels, balancing and alignments.

You will be hands-on, mentor staff, handle customer inquiries, and keep the workshop productive and compliant with industry requirements. A solid tyre workshop background and leadership ability are essential for this permanent full-time role.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in a tyre workshop or similar role.
• Practical knowledge across tyres, wheels, balancing and alignments.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team.
• Clear communication and strong customer service.
• Strong focus on workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule and support workshop technicians.
• Oversee tire fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignment work.
• Ensure all work meets industry standards and safety requirements.
• Manage customer enquiries, updates and resolution of issues.
• Monitor and maintain tire, parts and consumable stock levels.
• Enforce health and safety policies and keep the workshop tidy and compliant.
• Manage daily workflow and minimise downtime.
• Train and mentor team members.
• Report to the Manager on operations, performance and stock needs.
• Step in and work on the floor during busy periods.
