Job summary

Kaan’s Otago is seeking a Health & Safety support role to reinforce safety standards across our operations. You will work with the Operations Manager and site teams to drive safe, efficient workshop practices and help maintain compliance across multiple depots from North Canterbury to Bluff.

The successful candidate will have solid exposure to tyre/workshop environments, strong communication skills, and a calm, results-driven approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in a tyre workshop, commercial service centre or similar role.
• Practical knowledge across tyres, wheels, balancing and alignments.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team.
• Clear communication and good customer service.
• Calm under pressure, good problem-solver.
• Strong focus on workplace safety.

Responsibilities

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Monday– 8:00am–5:00pm; Saturday morning.

We are a well-established commercial tyre workshop based in Cromwell. We supply, fit and maintain passenger, 4x4, light commercial, truck, agricultural and off-road tires, plus wheels and wheel alignments and balancing. We’re known for solid workmanship, reliable service and looking after our customers and team.

Role Overview

You’ll oversee all workshop activity, lead and schedule the technicians, maintain quality standards, manage stock, and keep customers happy. You’ll be hands-on, lead by example, and keep the workshop safe, tidy and productive.
