Job summary

General Tyres invites applications for a full‑time workshop supervisor in Cromwell, NZ. You will oversee all workshop activity, lead technicians, manage stock, and ensure high safety and quality standards. The role is hands-on and requires strong customer service and problem‑solving skills.

The position offers a stable, long‑term career with staff discounts on tires and services. Based in Cromwell, you will work Monday–Friday with Saturday mornings, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery

Qualifications

• Solid tyre workshop experience in a commercial service centre or similar.
• Experience supervising a small team and coordinating tasks.
• Excellent customer service and clear communication.
• Committed to workplace safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule and support workshop technicians.
• Oversee tyre fitting, wheel balancing and alignments.
• Ensure all work meets industry standards and safety requirements.
• Manage customer enquiries and updates, resolving issues.
• Monitor stock levels of tires, parts and consumables.
• Enforce health and safety policies and keep the workshop tidy.
• Direct daily workflow and minimise downtime.
• Train and mentor team members.
