Job summary

Tauranga City Council is seeking an experienced Transportation Coordinator to keep the Transport team connected, organised and moving forward.

You’ll provide day-to-day administration and coordination support to the Transport management team, manage priorities and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordination, administration or executive support role.
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage deadlines, follow up actions and work independently.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
• Customer-focused approach and willingness to help.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive administration and coordination support to the Transport management team
• Coordinate diaries, appointments, correspondence, reminders and follow-up actions
• Support planning processes including Annual Plan and Long-term Plan activities
• Respond to internal and external customer and stakeholder enquiries
• Assist with financial administration, data entry, systems and databases
• Build effective relationships across Council and with external stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and keep work flowing smoothly
