Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking a Head of Transport Delivery to lead the safe, coordinated and reliable delivery of complex technology initiatives across Parking, Roading and Transport Infrastructure. This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity that puts you at the forefront of shaping the city’s technology delivery.

You’ll influence executive stakeholders and help shape a unified operating model, delivering long-term value for the city while balancing transformation with operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of senior technology delivery leadership experience.
• Strong transport, infrastructure, roading, parking or related technology domain expertise.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale technology programmes.
• Experience leading through organisational change, transformation or operating model transitions.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at executive level.

Responsibilities

• Delivery governance, risk management, assurance and executive stakeholder engagement.
• Delivery of strategic technology programmes and initiatives across Parking, Roading and Transport Infrastructure.
• A large and complex portfolio supporting critical operational services.
• Cross-functional teams navigating organisational change and transformation.
• The integration of transport technology delivery into Auckland Council's wider Technology Services operating model.
