Job summary

The Brewers Guild of New Zealand in Auckland is seeking a Trainee Filler Operator for our busy beverage bottling and canning line. Full hands-on training is provided, focusing on semi-manual filling equipment and learning to adjust valves, gauges, and liquid pressures.

You will maintain accurate production logs, monitor fill levels and pressures, and support clean-down and sanitation routines. Prior work experience in any industry and a strong work ethic are valued as you develop mechanical

Qualifications

  • Experience in any industry showing dependability and work ethic.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment setups.
  • Clear written and spoken English for reporting and safety.
  • High attention to product quality, hygiene and machinery care.
  • Reliable, punctual and physically capable of hands-on production.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate semi-manual beverage filling equipment, learning to adjust valves, gauges, and liquid pressures for different product runs.
  • Perform changeovers and mechanical adjustments when switching between bottle or can sizes, formats, and recipes.
  • Monitor carbonation, pressures, and fill levels during production, making hands-on manual corrections as needed.
  • Complete written production logs and reports, accurately tracking outputs, downtime, and quality metrics.
  • Execute thorough cleaning, sanitation, and teardown of filling heads and lines to maintain food-grade hygiene standards.

Job description

Trainee Filler Operator

We are looking for someone with work experience in any industry and a strong work ethic, who has the mechanical aptitude to learn technical setups, pressure adjustments, and liquid flow controls, alongside good written and spoken English for accurate production reporting and safety communication.

What You Will Do
