Job summary

Brewers Guild of New Zealand – Napier City, North Island is seeking a permanent full-time Brewer / Brewery Operator. The role involves operating modern, automated brewhouse and pack lines with a small, focused team.

On-shift training is provided and flexibility with weekend work is required to meet production schedules. Ideal candidates will bring relevant brewing or production experience, a strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of brewing, beverage and/or production operations will be highly regarded.
• Strong hygiene and food safety standards are essential.
• Ability to meet customer specifications and document production accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate brewing and cellar processes on shift with accuracy and efficiency.
• Uphold strict hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
• Maintain and complete all production documentation per SOPs.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and contribute to a safe, quality-focused team.
• Assist in other tasks within the brewery as needed and support juniors on shift.

bStudio Ltd is an award-winning service provider to the craft beer and beverage industries, based in Napier. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality service and products to our customers.

We are seeking applications for a permanent full-time Brewer / Brewery Operator.

Our brewhouse and pack line are modern and automated, so we have a small operational team relative to our capacity. We work varying split shifts to ensure our work is completed on schedule and we can always do what is best for the beer.

Key responsibilities.

On the job training is provided. You will be expected to become proficient in all aspects of our brewing and cellar operations and to perform tasks accurately and efficiently. The following are requirements:

• Understanding and upholding strict hygiene and food safety standards.
• Understanding and prioritising beer quality.
• Ensuring customer specifications are met.
• Accurately completing all production documentation.
• Following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assist as required in any other tasks within the brewery: bStudio is one team.
• Be a responsible team member as regards health and safety.

Relevant brewing, beverage and/or other production experience will be highly regarded: we want someone who can quickly get up to speed with our systems, become a senior pair of eyes on shift to see and prevent problems before they happen, and assist in training and answering questions for junior staff.
