Job summary

bStudio Ltd, based in Napier, is recruiting for a permanent full-time Brewer/Brewery Operator. The role centers on operating a modern, automated brewhouse and pack line as part of a small but capable team.

You’ll work varying shifts to ensure timely production and optimal beer quality, with on-the-job training and a focus on safety and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have relevant brewing or beverage production experience, strong hygiene and quality standards, and the ability to

• Experience in brewing or beverage production is preferred.
• Strong hygiene and food safety practices are essential.
• Ability to maintain beer quality and meet customer specifications.
• Accurate completion of production documentation.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Be a responsible team member regarding health and safety.

Responsibilities

• On-the-job training will be provided; you will become proficient in brewing and cellar operations.
• Operate and monitor brewing, fermentation, and packing processes.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the brewery.
• Complete production records accurately and on time.
• Support other tasks within the brewery as needed.

Key responsibilities

On the job training is provided. You will be expected to become proficient in all aspects of our brewing and cellar operations and to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.

The following are requirements:

• Understanding and upholding strict hygiene and food safety standards.

• Understanding and prioritising beer quality.

• Ensuring customer specifications are met.

• Accurately completing all production documentation.

• Following Standard Operating Procedures.

• Assist as required in any other tasks within the brewery: bStudio is one team.

• Be a responsible team member as regards health and safety.

Ideal attributes

Relevant brewing, beverage and/or other production experience will be highly regarded: we want someone who can quickly get up to speed with our systems, become a senior pair of eyes on shift to see and prevent problems before they happen, and assist in training and answering questions for junior staff.
