Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a Traffic Management Assurance, Competency & Training Lead to strengthen Temporary Traffic Management in the Waikato region. You’ll work with teams to build capability, coach staff and subcontractors, and drive safer, more consistent delivery across projects.

This role suits an experienced TTM professional who values high standards and enjoys helping others uphold Good Work every day. You will mentor teams and support safe operation.

Qualifications

• Strong operational Traffic Management experience and solid NZGTTM knowledge.
• Category A, B and C STMS NP and TTM Mentor certification required.
• Class 1 and Class 2 licences with relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic management assurance inspections across Waikato and document findings.
• Coordinate and monitor training paths to ensure staff meet role requirements.
• Coach and mentor field crews and subcontractors to lift standards.
• Support Department Manager to deliver safe, quality outcomes.
• Report on performance and trends to leadership.

We’re looking for a Traffic Management Assurance, Competency & Training Lead to strengthen Temporary Traffic Management across the Waikato region. Through assurance, coaching, competency development and practical support, you’ll work with our people, subcontractors and operational leaders to build capability and support safer, more consistent delivery.

This role will suit an experienced TTM professional who values high standards and enjoys helping others do Good Work every day.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

• Lead traffic management assurance inspections across the Waikato region, document findings, identify trends and report on performance.
• Work with field crews, leaders and subcontractors to address assurance findings and continuously improve TTM standards.
• Coordinate and monitor competency and training pathways so employees gain and maintain the capability required for their roles.
• Deliver practical on-job training, coaching and mentoring for permanent and casual employees across the Traffic Management team and wider business.
• Support the TM Department Manager and Operations Supervisor to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality operational outcomes.

• Strong operational TTM experience and a sound understanding of current TTM requirements and their practical application.
• Category A, B and C STMS NP and TTM Mentor certification.
• A thorough understanding of NZGTTM, Fulton Hogan traffic management minimum requirements and common infrastructure and construction practices.
• Class 1 and Class 2 licences, along with relevant certifications and endorsements for the role.
• A collaborative, safety-focused approach, with the confidence to coach others, lift standards and support change.
