Job summary

Fulton Hogan in New Zealand is seeking a Traffic Management Assurance, Competency & Training Lead to strengthen Temporary Traffic Management across the Waikato region. You will build capability through assurance, coaching and practical support, delivering on-job training, mentoring and pathway development for TTM teams, subcontractors and leaders to raise standards and safer delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong operational traffic management experience and a solid understanding of current TTM requirements and practical application.
• Category A, B and C STMS NP and TTM Mentor certification.
• Deep understanding of NZGTTM, Fulton Hogan minimum requirements and common infrastructure practices.
• Class 1 and Class 2 licences with relevant certifications and endorsements.
• Collaborative and safety-focused approach with the ability to coach others and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic management assurance inspections across the Waikato region, document findings and report on performance.
• Collaborate with field crews, leaders and subcontractors to address findings and raise standards.
• Coordinate and monitor competency and training pathways for employees in their roles.
• Deliver practical on-job training, coaching and mentoring for permanent and casual employees in the Traffic Management team.
• Support the TM Department Manager and Operations Supervisor to deliver safe, efficient outcomes.

We’re looking for a Traffic Management Assurance, Competency & Training Lead to strengthen Temporary Traffic Management across the Waikato region. Through assurance, coaching, competency development and practical support, you’ll work with our people, subcontractors and operational leaders to build capability and support safer, more consistent delivery.

This role will suit an experienced TTM professional who values high standards and enjoys helping others do Good Work every day.
