Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Invercargill is seeking a practical, hands-on traffic management team member to help set up, operate, and maintain temporary traffic management systems on local projects. You will work outdoors, in a close-knit crew, and contribute to safe, efficient project delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 1 licence (Class 2 is a bonus), and are either STMS/STMS Trainee or TMO working toward certification.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2 is a bonus).
• Be an STMS/STMS Trainee or TMO actively working towards certification, further training will be given if required.
• Bring a strong work ethic, enjoy physical activity, and thrive in a team that values safety, initiative, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Follow approved traffic management plans to safely set up, maintain, alter, and remove temporary traffic management (TTM) systems.
• Collaborate closely with crews, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Assist with specialist traffic management activities, including event management, traffic signals, sealing operations, roadmarking, and traffic control.
• Direct traffic flow safely and effectively while maintaining clear communication with your team through radio communications.
• Promote and maintain a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards on all worksites.
