Job summary

CMA CGM Canada seeks a pricing professional to manage and coordinate pricing for designated trade lanes. You will work with the Trade Manager to develop, implement, and monitor pricing strategies across services and markets.

Key responsibilities include maintaining pricing groups in AQUA, updating tariffs, validating tender requests, and monitoring market trends to keep policies competitive. Strong Excel skills and bilingual English/French are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in marketing and/or international commerce required.
• Shipping experience is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task time-sensitive issues.
• Analytical thinker, results-oriented.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, French & English.
• Ability to work as a team and be self-driven.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Responsible tor the management and coordination of assigned trade lanes. In conjunction with Trade Manager, the main focus is to develop, implement and monitor pricing strategy for designated trade lanes.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for pricing of assigned trade lanes & services
• Maintains and validates Pricing groups in AQUA
• Updates guidelines, tariffs and Austral system; validate SQs and D&D requests, maintains accurate pricing sheets
• Monitors price trends and competition to ensure that CMA CGM policies remain competitive in the market
• Ensure compliance and performance of the tender process: Tenders are completed accurately and timely, performance is monitored, reported and followed up with Sales team when needed.
• Supports, maintains and develops new business as it pertains to VIP Customers
• Develops a very good understanding of the market and of CMA CGM Canada activity/customers
• Works closely with the sales team
• Analyzes performance, on a regular and proactive basis, in order to assess relevance of policy, gaps with targets and propose adjustments in policy
• Prepares reports on market, performance and important facts affecting performance
• Assumes responsibility for ensuring the timely and accurate preparation, collation and distribution of all ‘pricing’ related reporting requirements
• Remains actively involved and fully conversant with all key responsibilities of each staff member within the department.
