Job summary

Greenlight Recruitment is seeking a logistics coordination professional for a Canterbury freight operation. You will coordinate with truck drivers, forklift drivers and depot staff to ensure the correct product is accepted and released accurately to the right companies.

This role reports to a fast-paced office environment with a 9:30am–6pm schedule, starting October 12. It is a three-month temporary assignment with potential extension and onsite facilities including parking.

Qualifications

• Deal with ambiguity and adapt to change in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Experience with RT’s.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office skills.
• Customer-focused with ability to meet internal/external needs.
• Experience in freight/shipping or logistics industry.
• Strong time management and prioritization.
• Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drugs test.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with truck drivers, forklift drivers, straddle drivers and depot staff.
• Ensure correct product is accepted and released to the right companies.
• Meet customer requirements and maintain good working relationships.
• Operate in a fast-paced office environment; may rotate shifts if required.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client serves a wide range of importers and exporters with full shipping services, year-round. They offer its customers facilities that are purpose designed to offer seamless accessibility and fast and efficient operations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We like to think of this role similar to air traffic control with planes. However instead of planes you are coordinating with Truck drivers, Forklift Drivers, Straddle Drivers and all depot staff. You play a very important part in ensuring product is accepted and released in an accurate and timely manner. The correct product is released to the correct companies. All customer requirements are met, and good working relationships are maintained.

FOR YOU

• Assignment starting October 12th
• Monday to Friday 9:30am – 6pm
• once trained may be requested to go into the shift rotation which would also include hours of 6am -2:30pm and 2pm- 11:30pm
  2 weeks on each shift
• Fast paced office environment
• Temporary position for 3 months – opportunity to be extended
