Job summary

Z Energy, Timaru Terminal, is seeking a Ringahāpai Tumu Herenga Waka Terminal Operator for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves recording stock movements, quality checks, and assisting with ship receipts, with on-site duties Monday to Friday and overtime as needed.

We welcome practical, hands-on individuals who work well in a small, cohesive team and value safety, procedures, and continuous learning. On-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work inside and outside an office environment.
• Proactive, practical and hands-on problem solving.
• Strong work ethic and teamwork.
• Computer literacy and adaptability to new systems.
• Ability to pass medicals including drug/alcohol testing.
• Hold a full and clean driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Receive petroleum products from ships into bulk tanks.
• Carry out tank gauging and product sampling/testing.
• Perform product transfers and site compliance checks.
• Operate forklift and support maintenance activities.
• Provide admin support for day-to-day terminal operations.
• Participate in safety training and follow wellbeing policies.
