Job summary

Z Energy NZ in Timaru is seeking a Ringahāpai Tumu Herenga Waka Terminal Operator for a 12-month fixed term contract at the Timaru Terminal. You will help manage stock and fuel operations, while upholding safety and quality checks.

The role offers on-site work with on-the-job training, potential to advance, and a supportive team culture. A timely start and commitment to responsibilities are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work inside and outside an office.
• A practical and hands-on nature; basic mechanical understanding helpful but not essential.
• Good work ethic and a great team player.
• Computer literate with the ability to learn new systems.
• Capable of passing regular medicals including drug and alcohol testing.
• A full and clean driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Receive petroleum products from ships into bulk tanks and manage tank gauging.
• Perform product sampling and testing, and assist with product transfers.
• Conduct compliance checks and operate forklift when required.
• Provide administrative support for stock management and purchasing.
• Induct contractors onto site and support maintenance tasks.
