Job summary

Z Energy NZ invites applications for a Ringahāpai Tumu Herenga Waka Terminal Operator based at Timaru Terminal. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract overseeing stock movements, safety checks, and ship-to-tank operations.

The role suits practically minded people who enjoy process, with on-the-job training provided. Regular hours Monday to Friday, with some overtime; in-house training to become Shore Officer and Permit to Work.

Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work inside and outside an office.
• Practical, hands-on with basic mechanical understanding.
• Strong work ethic and team orientation.
• Computer literate and able to learn new systems.
• Able to pass regular medicals including drug/alcohol testing.
• Must have a full and clean driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Record stock movements and monitor bulk Tank levels.
• Carry out Safety and Wellbeing observations and inspections.
• Assist with ship receipts and loading into storage tanks.
• Take fuel samples for quality testing.
• Induct contractors and coordinate maintenance tasks.
• Provide administrative support for day-to-day terminal operations.
