Job summary

Transpower is seeking a detail-oriented procurement professional to manage and administer published tender processes from release to market. You will act as a central coordinator between Transpower and suppliers, ensuring fair, transparent tender activity aligned with procurement policies.

The role requires strong documentation, process discipline and stakeholder collaboration. You will maintain records, support reporting, identify process gaps, and drive continual improvement in tender

Qualifications

• Experience in structured, process-led environments with emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, fairness and auditability.
• Strong planning, organisation and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain clear records, approvals and documentation.
• Sound judgement and professionalism when handling internal and external communications.
• Confidence using systems and data to track activity and support reporting.
• Ability to identify process gaps, risks or issues and raise them appropriately.
• Procurement, tendering, probity or contract administration experience in NZ is useful but not essential; focus on rigour, influence and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Transpower’s published tender processes from release to market.
• Coordinate between Transpower and suppliers to ensure fair, transparent tender activity.
• Maintain records and audit trails, and support continual improvement across tender administration and reporting.
• Advise internal stakeholders on correct processes to follow and ensure compliance.
